Saarinen womb chair & ottoman
Designer Eero Saarinen said, "A chair should not only look well as a piece
of sculpture in a room when no one is in it, it should also be a
flattering background when someone is in it." The womb chair fulfills both
requirements with a beautifully organic grace. The wide, solid stance of
this very functional chair allows the sitter to sprawl out every which
way. Recommended for serious nappers; it's love at first sit! Base is steel rod with polished chrome finish or matte black powder coat. Frame and upholstery is foam over a molded, reinforced fiberglass shell on chair, and foam cushion over molded plywood platform on ottoman. Separate seat, back, and ottoman cushions are constructed of polyester fiber with foam core. Point to note:
